McKinney Nordic Ski Club

Located at Km 26 on McKinney Road 9 Km of Novice & Intermediate trails. Groomed and trackset weekly. Club provides:

• Ski School Program for Oliver grade 4/5s.
• Affordable membership rates.
• Email updates on trail conditions.

Claudette Chabot, the president of the Cross-Country Ski Club is looking to recruit coaches for training sessions for the first weekend in November 2010. 

Training will take place on  Apex Mountain.  The new coaches will be asked to teach Grade 4 and 5 cross-country skiing,  some time during the month of February, 2011.  This program has been in place for many years.  The existing volunteers are getting older and need to be replaced.  The coaching will be paid for.

Attending a coaches clinic and becoming a cross-country ski coach is a very rewarding experience.  It is hoped that high school students who might want to be physical education teachers in the future, or any one willing and able to make a commitment to cross-country skiing will participate. Contact Claudette at 250-498-8461.
