INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY:
Ms. Roberta Meakin was born in Honolulu and is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. As a student Ms. Meakin studied ballet, jazz, fitness for dancers, and Hawaiian dance. Ms Meakin is now entering her 11th year of teaching ballet to a variety of different venues in Canada and the U.S.
Princess Ballet
3 - 4 years
Every girl dreams of being a Princess! Bring your imagination and have fun using dance props and trying basic ballet steps and creative dance moves. Participants will learn important skills such as listening, taking turns and working with others. This is a nurturing yet disciplined class. Parent Watch Day will be offered the final class of the session on March 13th. Pre-registration is required.

Pre-Primary Ballet
5 - 7 years
This level one class is an introduction to the Royal Academy of Dance method. Students will participate in exercises to increase their flexibility, coordination, musical timing, while developing important memory skills. Children will learn how to work with others and practice good listening skills. Parent Watch Day will be offered on the last class of the session on March 13th. Pre-registration is required.

Ballet Beginnings
8 - 12 years
For the older student who would like to try ballet. Participants will work on the fundamentals of ballet using exercises at the barre and moving into the centre. Ballet helps young people gain poise, confidence and grace and techniques are taught in a safe and caring environment. New time to allow children to walk to class after school! Pre-registration is required.

Princess Ballet Dress Up

Every girl will fee like a real princess in this dress-up ballet class. We will read a
princess story, practice our ballet steps and then have picture time at the end of
every class. Costumes are provided, so come and enjoy a magical princess time!
